Almost, not quite. Best in Dogs

** Shame we didn't return them right after trying them out. Now I'm stuck with these trash ladders that my pets don't want/can't use. I will be donating to my local thrift store. We tried them on our truck (Dodge Ram 1500) and it didn't work either. Spend some money. Buy a higher quality construction, e.g. B. one made of durable metal with non-slip treads, which are also made of metal. The design requires some work. The stair lift is too high and not wide enough. My chi could climb them, but not descend them. They're even a bit too big for my Basset Hound/Lab mix, and the width has created some foot placement issues. You also need to be able to stretch more so the angle becomes less steep. I attached it to my Kia Sorento, which sits low to the ground, and the angle was a little steeper than my nervous critters would have liked. I can't imagine using this on a truck. If my dog was more alert, not a shy dog, and had longer legs, he might be fine. I think the bendy and somewhat slippery nature of the steps themselves also scared her. After much persuasion we were able to lift them up and down. I won't go into detail, but it was a struggle. I have no desire to send it back. It was still less of a problem than lifting her 50+ pounds and putting her in the back seat of a car. So she had better get used to it. ** She never got used to it. Now we just take Kuranda's bed, ask her to sit on it and lift it into the car.
