OK, there are some downsides.
Not bad. However, the neck opening is quite large compared to other sleeping bags, which can be a concern for small children. This doesn't cause any problems for my 8 month old although at first I was wondering if it could get caught on his head/face. Also, the fabric is nice and soft, but the build quality isn't as good as other sleeping bags. And it's just a thin layer, not a double layer. Next time I'll probably go for the higher quality and more expensive option, although for now it's mostly a backup.
