CHEAP and INEFFICIENT

I was expecting this product to be a little bigger than usual and the material a little cheaper after reading the reviews. But I expected at least something that should be efficient, albeit a bit clunky and not the most durable. Let's start with the packaging: when the product arrived, I found a box with a picture of a purple massager on the box. I even argued about opening it because I specifically ordered white and was concerned that if I open it and take it out of the original box if it turns out to be the wrong color I won't be able to return it. I HATE purple. Fully. The main reason I chose this massager over many others was precisely because I wanted WHITE. I pulled myself together and finally opened it up and was relieved to see that it was exactly the color I ordered, although I was a little confused as to why it was packaged in a purple stick box and wondered how 'new' or how "clean" "The thing was. I always clean and sanitize everything before using it anyway, but I definitely feel a little uncomfortable wondering if it's a returned item or a used item that has just been repackaged in a different box. The wand itself looked cheap. For example, if you hold it too tightly or hit something too hard, it may break. But as long as you don't get too rough with it, you might be fine. But the head of the massager itself was made out of a very cheap material, similar to a foam poster in the craft section of an art store. Not a very pleasant texture at all, and it was obvious that after a while the material would also thin and crumble. Also, the hinge itself felt very brittle and flimsy, like the head would just snap if you pushed too hard. So again, maybe with a very careful use, you'll be fine. However, the main reason for my dissatisfaction with this product was the fact that it was just completely ineffective for me. Anything else I could put aside if it was at least still effective, if only for a few weeks or months of use. Now I don't know if it's just me, I don't have much experience with wand vibrators but the little experience I've had with similar products has been a lot more enjoyable. I expected a lot more performance from a plug in massager than this one. The cheap $10 battery I bought at Wal-Mart was definitely much more powerful and efficient. I was expecting at least something like that, apart from the frustration of the batteries dying at critical moments. While you don't have to worry about dying battery with this product, I would argue that the smaller and cheaper battery powered massager with dying batteries still offers more power than this thing. The white is really pretty and the product itself is very aesthetic which is the only reason I give it two stars instead of one. But I didn't buy it because I wanted a pretty paper pulp.
