At first glance at the packaging I thought it couldn't contain a decent paddle set. I was surprised to find that when assembled they are learned and strong. The ability to easily break them down into smaller pieces is a huge plus and makes storage easier. I find the only negative is that they are best used on a kayak or smaller dinghy. When used as a paddle they have no handle or grip so your hands will slip off. Have some sort of handle to use as a rudder and make the blades a little wider. . They are strong and light and will not sink immediately when dropped into the water.
