Excellent quality vinyl but night light is very weak/bad

I like this idea but if I light the subject directly and brightly for a while and then turn off all the lights it's like 1-2 seconds long just bright red and then quickly fading to a very, very, not even faint red glow. I want the dark glow to last more than a few seconds so the effect is really noticeable. 2 stars for quality. but I can't say more as the reason I got this was the noctilucent effect and it only seems to be the last 2-3 seconds.
