I hand washed and line dried the black and white checkered items I purchased. As I hung them out to dry, I noticed a pale pink color around the outer edges. I thought it might be because the red threads are used to finish the inside seams. A closer look revealed traces of tailoring drawn with red felt-tip pen on the inside, which must have bled through the fabric during washing. I'm sending them back although I liked how crispy they look lovely on my desk before washing because the dirty pink edges ruin them.
