This offset lighting seemed "pretty perfect" from what I've read about lighting. I purchased Luminoodle based on a non-Revain tech review and it works as advertised. like, something like. Before you jump into one of these biased LED strips, there are a few things to think about. 1) How bright it is - although I bought about half the light recommended due to a reviewer's concerns about USB power draw. , I had about 3 or 4 times more light than I wanted. I then noticed that the Luminoodle offers a dimmer and on/off switch to balance the light strip, which would help in this situation. Also, the strip can be cut shorter, but I chose to return it for other reasons. 2) Room geometry is important. Note that almost every photo shown has offset lighting behind the wall-mounted TV. This configuration seems necessary for proper lighting. I tried it on two TVs that were temporarily taped down and it lit up too many of my rooms. One was in the corner where the lights covered almost half the room and the other was on top of the TV that was on the table. The TV on the table is about 60cm from the wall so it lit the entire back wall which was better than the corner configuration but still too much light. 3) This white LED strip color is almost all TVs. black, so why would Luminoodle make a white strap to attach? The stripe would not be visible on a wall mounted TV, but on my desktop TV the page is pointing to an open area where the white stripe can be seen on a black TV. Also, when the LEDs are on, go past the side of the TV where you can see the LEDs. I had to avoid looking at the LEDs which were very bright in a dark room. While this lighting worked as described, it did not work for me. I decided to return it and continue my search for lighting in a different style.
