This is a very powerful (1600 lumens), super bright flashlight that puts out a lot of light. I like that the on/off button is conveniently located on the back against the beam of light and is easy to operate with a quick thumb press. I like that the light beam can be easily changed with the non-slip rotating zoom for different lighting needs; small and precise, to the point of large-area coverage, ideal for illuminating a hiking trail. It feels solid and well made, and its textured grip makes it comfortable to hold in place. I haven't used it in the water or rain but I like that it doesn't bother me as the flashlight is waterproof. Adds some calm. Flash mode is ideal for emergencies. I can buy another while they are on sale to keep in my jeep. I'm torn with batteries that the rechargeable type that often comes with them can offer more battery power; However, I always keep AA batteries in my drawer so this flashlight is always ready to go, and I can take extra batteries on a hike or in the great outdoors where you don't want your flashlight to go out. Very happy with this flashlight. He serves us well!
