I bought them for my husband. He had an ankle injury and nerve damage. No, it helped. It's very large, about 6ft 4in, and experts said it would heal, but at its size, the nerve only heals 1 centimeter a year, and at its size, it will take about 5 years to heal on its own. He's doing H-vac and he needs his leg! Nerve damage caused him to walk incorrectly and not be able to stand for long periods of time. We tried everything including the stabilization splint (do not use unless approved by doctors) which again did more damage. Now he wears them and walks normally. Doesn't take painkillers. He sleeps at night and doesn't mean it by pain. I'm really amazed, as is he, that these socks work! As long as they make them, I will keep buying them for him. You can even donate! The packaging is awesome! They are individually wrapped and packed in a ziplock bag! So if you want to gift someone a pair, this is perfect!
