They're pretty sturdy to begin with and you can tell they hold controllers well. First I tried to make a sticker on the wall. I woke up in the middle of the night to find them falling off the wall in my room, tearing the wallpaper with them. At the end I said I thought I was going to put nails in the wall. Now my wall is painted on drywall, but the self-tapping screws went in and are holding up well. I've never had a problem with them falling off again. I would suggest skipping the tape and just screwing it to the wall makes life a lot easier. It easily held my PS3 remotes and my Wii U remotes. I wish it had a place for the charging cable but c'mon it can't be everything.
