The women's GSD isn't exactly the best combo with rain, but this raincoat definitely helped when it came to keeping my dog dry, and my wife and I were out of the kennel for not bringing a wet dog into our house to have. ! At first glance, the fur looked a bit thin, but after about seven uses, that wasn't a problem. It's easy to put on and I had no problems with buttons or velcro. I have 2XL. This gives her freedom of movement and fits well. The detachable hood is also a bonus as I can adjust how much it covers her head. It was the perfect coat for my dog as I didn't have to make any modifications to the coat. It keeps her tummy dry which was not the case with the other raincoat I bought before. The only issue I have is a small rain cover for the leash that attaches to the collar. I walk my dog off a leash so a little velcro to keep that part down and water would be nice but it doesn't really make a difference. I definitely recommend this coat, especially for a female.
