let's be honest; They are not suitable for hiking or hanging a hammock. You get what you pay for and in this case you paid for an aluminum alloy threaded eyelet carabiner. It's great for attaching gear to my hunting backpack. They don't have much luster despite their matte metallic design, meaning they don't blink or glitter in the sun, which is great for my purposes. I'm taking off a star because the tabs don't quite match their design. Some of my grommets fully thread the carabiner while others barely cover the swivel. Some have stiffer threads than others. But they all work and none of them are deformed.
