Yes I knew it would be sterile white not warm yellow. But I went ahead and bought it anyway. Why? There was no alternative (original) warm yellow anywhere. So I went for this sterile white color. As much as I love the modern look of shimmering white, it's hard on the eyes and in many ways not as comfortable or inviting as warm yellow light. But since I had no choice, I had to accept it. Installation wasn't difficult. I had to remove the old bulb and put the new one in the same way as the old bulb. The tricky part was getting the microwave case off before I could reach everything. The bulb pins were slightly different than the factory warm white bulbs, but they fit and work. It's like putting toilet paper in a paper towel holder, a little too small but still works. Not the brightest bulb in terms of lighting, but good. I can see my food before and after. That's all I ask. I won't cook with her, so she's good enough. There were 2 pears in one order. Since my original microwave bulb lasted over 5 years, I'm wondering why they decided to sell two bulbs at once. In general, it took me a while to get used to the bright (and somewhat dim) white light, but I'm happy with it as there was no alternative to that light at all.
