I've been an avid Canon Rebel XS user for over a year and absolutely love this camera. When I had the opportunity to upgrade, I chose this model over the T3i because I knew both the T2i and T3i were comparable in terms of features. However, T2i is the best price for me. The first thing that struck me was the large 3 inch screen. It's way better than the Rebel XS. It's very bright and has such good resolution. Low light performance is phenomenal with the Rebel XS being 4x light sensitive. Capturing images at ISO 3200 with adequate noise reduction results in very acceptable images. If you shoot in RAW mode, the files are around 25MB each. It eats up memory insanely fast, so be prepared. The image quality corresponds to the file size. Normal JPEG images are around 5-6 MB each. It seemed to me that the buttons were of lower quality than those on the Rebel XS. The play button and focus point selection buttons are a bit annoying to use. Otherwise, the build quality of the camera is excellent. The Canon T2i weighs about the same as the Rebel XS. The Canon T2i is so good I can see myself using it for years. I take some of the best photos of my life with this camera. I really think the T2i offers the best value for money at the moment; I really wish I had this camera to start with. Stop denying yourself the great photos of your life and get this camera!
