I accidentally spilled a whole bottle of nail polish on my bed and thought I'd ruined the sheet and mattress. After hopelessly wiping some nail polish off the sheet, it looked like a giant soaked stain. When I took it off to see the damage underneath, I found that the mattress topper's terry texture had soaked up a lot of the nail polish. I actually forgot I had that mattress topper on my bed because it doesn't change the feel. I then removed the mattress pad and braced myself for the worst as it was a very large and heavy stain. But to my pleasant surprise, neither nail polish nor stain penetrated the Sleep Tite mattress topper. I threw it away. in the wash to see if most of the stain comes off so I can put it back on the bed. If not I will buy a new one as the stain was dark green and probably showed through my white sheets. It was worth it as it protected my mattress. It fits easily over my 8" memory foam + 2.5" topper.
