Misaki's eyes! <3

Okay, long story short, I've been planning to watch A Certain Scientific Railgun since college, so I'm making time for a series marathon this summer. I decided to buy this plush Misaka Mikoto to help me run the marathon, uh. I mean look good on my shelf next to Rin and Len. ^^ "Compared to her anime character design, GE plushies look very similar. Her school uniform matches her design, right down to the round collar, the school emblem on her waistcoat, and the felt hair clip. Even her brown felt hairdo with it the fringe from the anime is reproduced in this plush! for both of them. It's not that bad because the darker hair color makes them more attractive! It comes with an overall tag showing the main characters of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. The best feature of this plush are the eyes, what drew my attention to this plush is the seemingly unused design of GE's eyes. Her painted eyes are a direct reminder of Railgun's art style and look like they came straight out of the popular anime in general. Most of the GE -Plush I didn't like it because for most of the symbols the eyes are sewn on, there is no glare and no white of the eyes (they must be difficult to sew on) which makes them look rather en leaves real dolls dressed up as anime characters instead of a real figure. I'm grateful that GE, at least for the Railgun plush, decided to finally include anime eyes in the spirit of the original animation. I would like other plushes (Hello Asuna and Kirito?) to have the same eyes. I like plush Nendoroid eyes, they're cute in their own way, but plush GE seemed a bit odd until Misaka showed up.

Pros
  • Cute and collectible
Cons
  • The list will be long.
