I chose the silver/olive with tactile switches. I would probably choose black if it were available, but I'm probably happier with what I got. It has an industrial look. I'm a fan of mid-range mechanical keys. The max is around $125 and I buy pre assembled. So maybe there are better keyboards out there than these for $250, $400 etc but it's not in my price range so I don't recognize them. For $100, this thing is a pleasure to type on. The key feel is excellent, the sound is excellent, the key spring is excellent. The registration distance is perfect for me. The backlighting of the keys is around 4000K, which is easy on the eye. This is the best keyboard I've ever used. I am very happy with this purchase
