I bought this despite the negative reviews and I think it's not such a disaster as others. As someone who spends half a year with black facial hair (the other half is blue), it's nice to have a black mustache wax option despite the challenges. These issues stem from a fairly messy app with the occasional facial blemish and a problem starting in wet conditions. The key to success is applying in moderation and not applying to the middle of the mustache, which works for me because I keep the middle trimmed to the lip and just leave the ends long. In fact, I usually use this product in combination with undyed wax and only use it on the tips and where lighter roots are visible.
