SUPER soft on my review.

My puppy loves this blanket! It is so soft and snuggly, with two different textures. The fluffy side kind of comes off, sheds like fur, but only when it gets stuck on one of his rubber toys. Puppy got parvo so we had to soak the blanket in bleach, the fuzzy side kind of matted up after going thru the dryer, but it was still really soft. We bought a 2nd one for when he's fully healed.

Gave it as Christmas gift--- my Brother's dog loves it. Spends hours on it.

Cons

The material may be too thin to protect from scratches or tears.
