Update 3/9/18: the seller saw my review and contacted me even though my warranty period had already expired, he sent me another new device. I really like these lights, they work very well for this application. I installed them at a 45 degree angle inwards under the front edge of the shelves I installed in the kitchen. Just what you need for brightness! The shelves are about 16 inches deep so it's hard to see underneath and these lights fixed that. I use a switchable outlet to control it, not a switch on the cord. I bought these last summer as part of a kitchen renovation at our campsite, unfortunately fitting has been delayed until this summer. Installed under the shelves they looked great. Very complicated installation, it took me quite a while to install everything. Used them maybe a dozen times, today they stopped working. The transformer is dead. Very dissatisfied. I don't know what to take for it.
