Review on 👕 Vornado VS-570 Commercial Fabric Steamer: Powerful Steaming with Solid Brass Boiler and Durable Aluminum Body in Black by Neil Bodell

I chose this steamer for two reasons: 1) reviews of its steaming ability and 2) reviews from Vornado customer service. I made the right choice. When I received my steamer I was impressed by how well packaged it was. I continue to be impressed with the construction of the steamer, the shaft is about twice the diameter of my old steamer that I replaced, the tank holds more water, the hose, while a little short, is cloth covered and less likely to tear. After assembling the car I found I liked the secure way of attaching the handle/hose to the top of the luggage rack. On my old machine, the handle/hose line would sometimes fall off, which was both annoying and potentially dangerous to work with. Others have written about it in reviews so I wasn't surprised. I immediately called Vornado. After I gave them the serial number and sent photos of the nameplate and my receipt, they sent me a new machine. Outstanding customer service which was a very good reason for me to buy this machine. Finally after starting the steamer I was happy to see again that this steamer doesn't "spit" like my old machine did. I had to cover the old steamer with muslin to catch the water it spewed out, but not this one. First I steamed the new curtains. I would have liked a longer hose here. I had to jack the car up to get to the top of the curtains. I have found that if I tighten the fitting holding the bar in place as hard as I can with my hand, the bar will stay in place when I use it to lift the steamer. I wasn't expecting the vape to warm up with a delay, which is generally not great. I figured it was a small price to pay for having to wait every few minutes for the two tank system to work. Instant steam machines have a system where a small amount of water is moved into the heating/steaming chamber. Anytime cool water enters the chamber, like my old typewriter, the steam stops and the water gets hot. On Vornado this is not a problem. Has constant steam. I prefer it. Overall I am very happy with this machine and would recommend it to anyone who wants a good steamer. I will also use it to steam clothes regularly. Summary: Pros: Consistent vapor, great customer service, no spitting, warm but not hot hose/handle, easy tank handling, solid construction Cons: cracked tank on first machine, a bit pricey but worth it, hose is shorter than you would do it like.
