Review on 🐱 SmartCat Multi-Level Cat Climber, 9-Inch (1 Pack) by Jamie Brown

Strong enough for wildcats!

I know there are some complaints that this product is not strong enough for cats to jump on, so I wanted to post this short video of my adopted kitten climbing on it. She and her sister play fetch and we throw the toy at the climber, then they climb up like a ladder either from the front or from the front. We have 8 cats here and all but 2 use it regularly. Of course, most of our cats weigh a lot less than 10 pounds, but a few of them weigh 12-14 pounds and still climb. Ours are incredibly strong. After reading the reviews I spent extra assembly time - each time I attached a new section I went back and tightened the previous sections, then at the end I tightened them all, and then my roommate tightened them after me ! Also, as another reviewer recommended, I took one of the long pieces of cardboard out of the box and wedged it between the back and the door. I'm not sure if it was necessary, but I did it anyway. This thing won't move when they climb on it, and they'll even stay in place when we open the door to get something out of the closet. No extra deadbolts or anything else holding door to door. The ONLY complaint I have is the footage covering all the landings. They broke within a day or two. I think it's my fault I smeared catnip on it! It's a very cheap material, but the sisal backing is good quality and scratch resistant. I still give it 5 stars because for the price it can't get any better in terms of usage time and the fun we have watching cats on it! We've had it for a few months now and even if it breaks tomorrow I'll buy another one.
