Review on 🚫 Sennheiser HD-201 Lightweight Over Ear Headphones - Discontinued Model by Ada Szewczyk ᠌

I cant believe I paid for it, the quality is disgusting.

First impressions without initially removing the package from view. A variety of vocalists and bands were played on the Bowers & Wilkins CD, the EMMA Competition Disc, and the Dire Straits. It is not entirely accurate to say that there is no bass; however, there is an almost total absence of an adequate amount of sound. At frequencies lower than 1000 Hz, there is no lower bass at all, and the middle one sounds more like crackling. When adding 100 hertz bass by 10 dB, distortion already occurs, but the bass does not appear. The equalizer does not significantly improve the situation. All of this has a significant negative impact on the sound picture because the vocals are unconvincing, the cello sounds more like a violin, the barrels don't seem believable, and the piano sounds more like a harpsichord. These headphones, to put it simply, are not capable of handling the sections of many instruments that have a key or an overtone that is lower than one kilohertz. In the meantime, the violins are playing well, and the acoustic guitar is very detailed, but the whole effect is hollow and lacks pressure. Numerous nuances and sounds that were not previously detected in these tracks can now be heard in their entirety due to the fact that they were captured by the microphone. There is noticeable harmonic distortion right at the very top. The use of headphones is not recommended. The manufacturer removed one third of the frequencies that were inside the "tasty" range. The most that they are able to accomplish is to communicate through Skype; however, we are sad to inform you that they do not own a microphone for this purpose. On those devices, I am unable to play music. I let my family to watch television in the evenings on occasion. Simply put, there is no monetary outlay required. They are going to get warmed up (the drivers are going to shift), and if there is anything else to cover, I will add a review.

Pros
  • To a satisfactory degree. Outstanding examples of microdynamics near the top.
Cons
  • B grade sound, Low frequency response, poor cable.
