Years ago I had a ("classic") Black & Decker "Scumbuster" scrubber. possibly the first serious "rechargeable centrifugal scrubber" on the market. This design is functionally very similar. Keep in mind that it's not that useful for "two-handed, hard cleaning," but it's good enough. And I LOVE the included extension handle that makes certain tasks so much easier. I estimate it has about 75% of the torque of my original Scumbuster (when fully charged with a new battery), which is pretty good. well, in general. A little more power would be nice. If I could find a similar one that actually had GREATER torque than the SB I'd be thrilled. But no luck so far. This device is great for regular cleaning. It might be a little less useful for "very heavy" cleaning, but being so easy to use just means you can do "regular" cleaning more often, so everything should work just fine. I like the USB charging function. Yes, I know the built in lithium ion battery will eventually fail and seems impossible to replace, so the entire unit is thrown away at this point. This definitely won't last for decades, unlike Scumbuster. But it's cheap enough that it's not a big issue for me. If it fails. probably after about five years of regular use. I'm not worried about the replacement cost. So I think it's a good replacement, taking the role of my already unreliable old device that took me so long to complete. (Note that the same device appears to be sold under different names, but all appear to be made in the same factory.
