Accidentally falls down

I really liked this chair for the first few months but now the height accidentally drops while sitting in it. I get up and go back to max height but it starts to drop again. The only way to stop it is to leave it on the lowest setting, but then it's too low for me. I also had to add cushions to the armrests because they are not comfortable at all.
