Review on πŸ–¨οΈ GBC Ultima 3000052EZ Thermal Laminating Machine by Roy Boone

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Old Reliable

I bought this device in 2016 and didn't even know it was that long ago because it still works like I just unboxed it! If you have laminating jobs that are more than a few pages at a time, it's better to invest a little in a great machine like this than worry about something cheaper and smaller that can only handle packets for lamination. Believe me. This machine is fairly cheap for what it can do and is very easy to load. Once you have learned how to change laminate rolls, it will take you 3 minutes at most. Pro tip: When choosing your laminate roll thickness, choose 3 or 5 mils instead of 1 mil or 1.7 mils. Especially if you're laminating regular paper instead of something more durable like cardstock, your laminates will fold on their own as they come out of the laminator and this will jam your machine. You have to watch each page closely as it comes out and basically pull the film as it comes out to avoid jamming, which is a real pain. Save yourself the headache and get a slightly thicker film, even if it's a bit more expensive. I still can't find another machine with better functionality in the same price range so I'll keep my little one until it burns through and if she does I'll just buy another one. I bought my 2016 for $398 and now it's $350. Hurry to buy it!
