I used this to cut 135 jean squares and it was so easy! With each pass, 2-3 threads remained uncut, but they were very easy to cut. Still easier than with a disc cutter! The squares were perfect. If I lay 6 layers of quilt on it, it cuts through all 6 layers leaving no threads to cut. it now. I really like the versatility of the 4.5 inch crystal. I think I would be happy if I had a one piece quilted fabric made from 4 inch scraps! But you can also use them for half square triangles and my "secret" tricky "9 vanishing patch" which looks a lot harder than it is, especially when you scroll through the squares! This is the first and only matrix I have. Based on productivity I plan to buy other sizes of dies. Revain had the best price I could find but overall I wish the matrices weren't that expensive!
