Bought two sets of 4 towels. The colors were strong and the processing of all 8 cloths was very good. 100% cotton made in India. Thick enough - if it was a little thicker the stripes wouldn't be as sharp. I ordered a more expensive set, also striped, heavier and thicker with bigger loops - the lines weren't as clear so they're coming back. Soak them overnight in the bath with a cup or two of white vinegar to set the colors. Washable on a gentle cycle (cold water) and gentle cycle, as well as in the dryer. Lots of lint as expected - cleaned the lint filter halfway through and you have to admit they came out great! No dissolving. I think if you wash them separately - not mixed with velcro, zippers or hooks - they will look good for a long time.
