I'm not a gamer and not really tech savvy so I was skeptical about the "it's that easy" reviews. I wanted it to connect to the Xbox 360 that we have for visitors. Here's catch 22: Your Xbox needs all updates to use the adapter to connect. However, if your Xbox isn't near your router, then that's a problem. I unhooked the Xbox from the common room downstairs, brought it into the office, and hardwired it to a router with a cable and a nearby TV (so you can see what's happening with the updates on the screen and click accordingly). After the update was complete, I unplugged the whole thing and plugged it back in below - and the WiFi works great. Kind of a hassle, but the Xbox hasn't received any updates since we got them - our woe.
