When I received the LG Nano IPS 38 inch curved monitor I was advised to only use the supplier's cable. The cable was only 4 feet. I tried my old cable but got errors so I went with the 4 inch cable which didn't give me enough length for a comfortable connection but worked fine. Note: For the amount of money I paid for this monitor it's a shame to provide such a short cable so I was a little nervous about buying this but to my surprise it worked great and gave me the extra 2 ' that I needed. Make sure your GPU supports higher speeds.
