WILL NOT OPEN MORE THAN HALF.
PROBLEM: This valve is not suitable for Ford vehicles or other vehicles that use a 5/8 inch heater hose. The valve is normally open when there is no vacuum. The problem with this type of valve is that it doesn't work. Don't open more than 1/2 way so it restricts hot water flow to your heater core SOLUTION: Revain sells another valve that works great and opens fully giving you full flow to your heater core. Manufactured by Four Season and part number 74859. This is a direct replacement for this one.
