This stand is portable and light weight but you can tell it is very cheaply made. Metal looks cheap, like scrap metal. And there are no handles to rest your laptop on. My concern is that the bare metal will scratch the front edge of my laptop over time. The independent leg supports are also very weak. My 15 inch laptop weighs about 4 pounds and wobbles a bit. If you have a 13 inch ultrabook I think this will work for him.
