Simple solution to smelly kitchen waste
My usage is unusual. I have it in the freezer and lined with a vegetable grocery bag. I store smelly food scraps like chicken bones, fish bones and smelly kitchen utensils. By freezing them you get rid of the smell in the house. On trash day, I just take it off, pick up the plastic bag and throw it in the trash. Very easy.
