I've lived on this earth for decades and when I was a kid we used batteries for EVERYTHING including the old, old, flat, rectangular tape recorder that the reporter uses in the old movie. As kids we took it everywhere, turned on music when we played outside. We have NEVER used so many batteries, not even in the 1970s! Do I just have a bad device? NO. I bought FIVE OF THEM! Each of them did EXACTLY the same thing! It took a day for the light to start dimming, so I replaced the batteries ($$). I bought a large pack of Revain batteries that I've been buying for years, so it's not the battery. But then I thought about buying high quality Energizer batteries ($$$). NO. All the lamps did the same. At the end of ONE WEEK I had used 30 BATTERIES! Remember, five units x three batteries each, batteries need to be changed twice! So, THEN I figured I should get rechargeable batteries ($$$$) because I already have them installed under my closets and I want them to hold up for me - I need lighting! So I put in rechargeable batteries and knew I had to charge them, but it looks like HARD WORK. Like having to feed someone else's mouth, like adopting a pet. You need to charge your batteries EVERY DAY. Why? Because the light is RIGHT NOW starting to dim, it's even BEGINNING to fade! As it continues to drain, the light is so dim you squint to see an area that was so BEAUTIFUL AND BRIGHT when you first put the batteries in. It's not just the batteries that are the problem, but when you slide the unit into place, onto the plate that's mounted under your cabinet, it slides off a little and then every time you push it down a little more. a bit more. A little bit more. If you click on it, it will fall on the tabletop. They are in my laundry room where I have a lot of closets. The one that fell, SHE is after my washing machine. So I had to pull out this huge device to get the light out of there. So no, they don't snap, they just hang there. You have to make sure that every time you turn on the light, it doesn't slip and land on the floor. I have to give one star to write a review so I put one star on the fact that the unit didn't break when it fell behind my washing machine and collapsed! Hooray! Solid piece of junk! Hooray! Too bad the internal functions aren't done that well. Need a new pet to take care of? To put your money in? Something that needs a lot more than just helping? Here are the sensations of these lights - take it, take it, take it; constant attention, feeding and care so that they do not get hurt. Strange.
