The new owner of the boat is here. Thought it would be great as we are not masters at tying nautical knots but they were more of a problem. They keep getting caught in the wooden jetty and the little plastic ties came loose the second time we used them. Even if there are only two of you unloading/unloading the boat, you cannot handle both the stern and the bow unless you have a very short boat. And if you lose control of one of them, they'll fly away like a bungee cord, out of your reach. Maybe it's better to just hold the boat to the dock? To be honest I wouldn't believe they wouldn't back down. Just learn a few basic knots and use longer ropes and skip them.
