This is a good replacement for the nylon cases supplied by Gerber. The retention is adjustable and holds the instrument in place very well. I only gave it 4 stars because I have the tang version of the needle nose pliers and the end of the pliers hangs on the ground which can damage the seat or clothes when sitting. This is one of the reasons I threw away the nylon sleeve (they ended up cutting through the Gerber sleeve). That being said, this scabbard sits slightly higher than the factory scabbard and the sagging nose hasn't been a problem yet. This case lasts a long time!
