After installing the cartridge, I get the message "Caution, using this ink cartridge may damage your computer." so I used it anyway. 1st edition. Tried to print checks with payslip, prints everything on the check except amount due, full payslip information, but nothing on the check itself. Second, spotlight search stops working, when I search with it it gets blocked. the whole calculator. Sometimes it searches for messages or opens random apps. Thirdly, email will be disabled, blocked and eventually the computer will reboot. Went home to use a laptop and another printer and checks printed without any problems. When the desktop started going crazy I took my laptop to the office and, just to see if the problem persisted, I connected my laptop to a printer and encountered the same issue.
