Well, not much of a life changer. But they change color, which is pretty cool. I've been married for 21 years and every Christmas we discuss whether to put white or colored garlands on the tree. With these lights we can take turns. Sometimes we do them in white, sometimes in color. Heck, we let kids choose when we want adventure. The remote control sucks. Or at least mine. It's only good for dimming (which is a cool feature) and turning the lights on and off. There are about 11 different settings, but we'll only use the first two: white or color. I don't like blinking Christmas lights etc. The lights are very bright and great for outdoor use. We have them indoors on our tree and we dimmed them so the light wouldn't blind us (accelerating like a duo/another runner in the night!). You can put the strands together and it's actually a pretty cool connection. The two ends are bolted together and have a waterproof sheath around the connection. I would buy again. Damn, I actually bought again. I bought my first strand and found I needed more to complete the tree so I bought a second set. Order these. Hell, you only live once. Life is short.
