I bought these for the enclosed car carrier that we like use a kart trailer. Our karts are mounted on lifters with 8" tires that roll well. They just weren't up to the task for my purposes. Pros: 1 - cost - damn affordable for what you get 2 - easy installation - easy 3 - Light weight/safety - no real risk of breaking fingers 4 - Durable - I believe they will last a long time given the material Cons: 1 - Corner Ramp angle on that first short section 2 - Turn - the ramp is slightly convex in shape (which certainly increases its strength), but this in turn increases the initial angle of movement of the tires when starting off.I've been struggling to get my go-kart up the ramp over a couple of weekends to get up and finally got her out. I replaced this "ramp bridge" with a long stainless steel loop and a 3/4 inch strip of plywood. The piano hinge and plywood eliminated the two disadvantages listed above by being flat and flush with the existing ramp portion. These things are probably great for applications where you're loaded with big tires/skis, but I don't recommend them all if you plan on rolling in and out of a trailer with something that's even moderately smaller or slightly smaller tires difficult.
