This switch does exactly what it says, but more importantly HOW your computer responds to a VGA connection. What I mean is that if you switch from one input to another, the connection will be lost. This means your computer thinks the projector has been turned off. So your computer screen gets reconfigured etc. I use this to connect multiple laptops to the same projector and then we show the video to the audience. Switching from one input to another results in a 5 second computer setup. So the switch works great for what it is (SUPER light, super small!) BUT I'd happily buy a more expensive one that maintains the connection at all times for smoother and FASTER shifting.
