Having a few extra Thunderbolt 3 cables is especially important if you have a Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook Pro or other devices. Many accessories that can take advantage of the dramatically increased speed don't come with the necessary cord to get the benefit, or your cat may have thought your previously working cord was some sort of toy. Either way, it's a good idea to have on the shelf. Note that this 60cm cable isn't the cable you use to connect your Mac to a monitor, but it's perfect for connecting a docking station or external drive. It's correctly marked with a lightning bolt (and a 3 to make it clear what the cable is for). Be aware that Thunderbolt 4 is here and new Thunderbolt 4 cables are needed to take advantage of the extra speed for those with the right hardware.
