They were great until they were. I recently bought these to have "special charging points" at home. I had an Apple USB charger and a Samsung USB-C cable. They were used maybe twice in the months I've had them. Today I plugged in my iPhone and saw that there is no power. I made sure it was plugged into the wall and the cables were secure. Finally I pulled it out of the wall and found this. I immediately went into the guest room to turn it off and heard it "squeak". Both plugged directly into an outlet, no other electronics in the house have an issue including the larger Anker chargers next to the master bed. . It could start a fire very easily.
