NOT 2 " deep in each compartment 1 2/8 " x 4 1/3 "

Actual internal dimensions are 1 2/8" deep and 4 1/3" in diameter. As wanted I don't put anything down - I measured and asked before ordering. I don't know why people reply if they don't know and/or give wrong information. The platters themselves are thick and the bottoms of both the top tray and the white pieces extend down and also cut into the gap.While it's nice (mine is white with gray patches, forgot the name of the color) it only holds very small items, about 1" tall/deep, otherwise it won't don't stack the parts and you can't put the lid/tray on.Not usable for my purpose hopefully this will save someone else the hassle of sending it back.
