Review on Gold Plated Mechanical Watch by Charles Hubert 3842 by John Shorter

Apr 30, 2021 at 1:45 pm Today I received a Charles-Hubert Paris 17 pocket watch with gems. Good weight, solid construction and great looks. The high hopes are that it will be a good, reliable, fairly expensive watch and not a cheap $12 watch from a department store. Wind it up and set it to 1:45, which was the correct time that day. 40:00 I checked the time on the clock and was disappointed to see that the clock read 2:45. My hopes for an accurate, reliably winding pocket watch were dwindling, but I wound it and reset it to the correct time a few times. 05/02/2021 at 10:37 am. I kept checking the time on the clock and was very disappointed when I saw that the clock said 5:05. It is now apparent that these watches are completely unreliable. This is the second watch I have had to return and I just give up trying to find a reliable winding pocket watch.
