Review on πŸ‘œ Classic Black Leather Messenger Bag: Spacious 17.3 Inch Laptop Briefcase with Vintage Appeal - Water Resistant, Perfect for School and Work by Daniel Ortiz

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the shoulder strap!

This bag has 5 stars but the shoulder strap has -1. Don't get me wrong, it works, but compare the overall quality of a bag the strap ruins! I bought a 15.6 inch black case for a Dell Inspiron 3500 series 15 inch computer. The color is wonderful, aged black, and it looks like it costs a lot more. The construction is some of the best I've seen, even for bags that cost twice as much. It has 4 pockets on the front, two side pockets that match the bag in width and height and are open at the top, and two pockets that are attached to the front of these two pockets and have a magnetic closure to securely close the closure flap. Although the main flap appears to have two buckles holding it in place, there's a bayonet mount underneath the accessory strap for a snap-button strap. Which I like because you don't have to unbuckle the strap every time you open the bag, you just push the button and it opens. But the straps can be adjusted with a buckle, so it's not just for beauty. And the straps also help secure the two snap pockets just in case. The interior is beautifully lined with two compartments, one of which is equipped with an elastic band that prevents the computer from slipping out when the flap is opened. It's something with an inner lining, but I bought a Dell neoprene sleeve for extra padding, and it slides in like it was custom made for my computer and case. Inside there is enough space for my power supply, an external Samsung DVD in the case and an external 1T hard drive. And I didn't put anything in the front pockets because I still have plenty of room inside. Now the big one lowered the strap. I don't know why anyone would make such a beautiful bag and then attach a two dollar strap to it! The strap really does look like you would find it on a $10 duffel bag! It's made of thin, plain nylon, like the ones on a holdall, but it has nice clips to attach it to a bag and a leather shoulder pad, but it still looks like a two-dollar holdall strap. It looks like you lost your thong and went somewhere and bought a cheap thong to put on. I'm looking for a good leather strap to replace this one. I will buy these again if I ever need another computer bag!

Pros
  • Stylish large laptop bag
Cons
  • No insurance
