Not a bad comb, I didn't notice the smell. Unfortunately, one of the tips of the comb was split in half, allowing hair to be pinched and pulled. Shame but I broke off the smaller halves and discarded them and they were fine, it's just pretty bad when you order something and it comes with a defect but I know it's natural and it can happen.
