I mainly use it in the office because it gets cold. It is soft and does not freeze when the air conditioning is turned off in the office. But after a few washes, a lot of lint remains. And I mean a lot! All my clothes are my jacket; I see it fly through the air, it gets into my mouth, into my eyes. So I try not to move it too much. Until I find someone else, that's enough. I cover my legs and it keeps the cold out. I used to wrap it around my shoulders but like I said above. No more. It's soft even though the size is perfect. I wouldn't wear it as a scarf itself. For this reason it is very broad.
