I was wearing the wrong pants (yoga pants). Hiking pants are one thing. They are thick enough to protect you from the elements. They also don't rub on your thighs. I think just putting on pants is an exercise. When I first put them on after a five kilometer walk, I was so tired. It's like they built up a resistance. I will never wear yoga pants again. I love the pockets for my phone and ID. I dare say I've lost inches if not pounds and I think it's because I changed my pants.
