I was a little disappointed when I received it and tried it right away. They hold you, but you don't feel 100% stable when you stand on them. I bought them mainly for different areas of the house where we need them and also for mental exercise for our dog to sit on. If you don't get off them and push him away, he'll collapse! After my dog got used to it, I kept him in a stable position by placing my feet next to the legs of the stool. Not bad for the price but I wish I could have gotten another one from my local store instead.
