Review on 🛁 Danco 10306 - Tub/Drain Protector Hair Catcher and Strainer, Hair Clog Prevention Drain Snake, Snare, and Auger by Duane Ramos

So this is definitely the best "hair catcher" I've ever used (thanks to all the other reviewers!). I didn't even know it was possible to achieve this level of purity. It's day and night compared to having nothing there and having to climb into the sewer and handle the gross lumps...you know what I mean. This is the reason for the 5 star rating. As a separate but VERY important issue, I noticed in other reviews, including most of the positive ones, that some people spent a hell of a lot of time cleaning this up. I can definitely see why, what with all the tiny spikes moving in different directions (to ensure maximum friction to grab all the hair I think). After some experimentation I found a way to make it VERY easy to clean! Here's how it works: 1. When the tub is completely empty after the shower (ie there is no water), close the tub as if you were about to take a bath.2. Allow about 3/4 inch of standing water (or more depending on the depth of the tub bowl, my tub only needs about an inch max) to fill the tub over/on top of the hair trap - just leave the hair trap there, where she is is.3. Take a cotton swab, pen, nail file, whatever is handy and dip it into the hair trap itself. Pull out any hair or debris that has become lodged at the bottom of the trap.4. If the water and gravity are working, the hair should come together in a large wet bundle that will easily cling to a cotton swab (instead of a few strands of hair that will slowly and in a big mess come loose if you try to brush it a bit ). something or when it is dry!).5. I wrap a bunch of hair in a paper towel, throw it in the bin, and the hair trap is COMPLETELY clean, no extra hair! Life's too short to bother with trap cleaning and plucking every hair strand by strand - this is such a prickly little guy I LOVE but he's defeating his purpose if you don't catch him quickly and after a shower easy to clean. I hope my obsessive experiments will help you use this thing.
